Originally by: Amiela Braveheart Next The new EULA requirement that all accounts buy a boxed version of the game or a Licence from the eve store is really a deal breaker. Alot of people live in a very depressed economy will find this requirement very expensive. The eve client has been free from day 1 now ccp wants everyone to buy a retail boxed version of the game, just smacks of corporate greed.
If you installed the client from a download from CCPs websight, or from the STEAM trial offer, or from the Atari download, you are already considered to have bought it from the EvE store, you do not need to by a new copy of the game and any attempt to do so will result in you creating a new account.
hell the fact that CCP keeps accepting your money in whatever form (direct payment or plex or GTC codes) indicates that they consider you to be a customer in good standing and any change in that reguard on there part would constitut breach of contract. so if you realy want to keep playing, just keep paying however you pay to play.
Seriously ask yourself, if they had sudenly decided to pull out a "ok we need an extra $19.97 from you this month, do you honestly think you would be, Quite literaly, the FIRST, and ONLY person to mention it, or do you think that the forum would be almost unreadable due to the dozen + 10 page threadnaughts being launched every half hour
This has already been explained elsewhere.
In fact the exact statment in the EULA is
Quote: REQUIREMENTS TO PLAY To play EVE, you must: (i) purchase a license to the Software (this may be available with the purchase of a boxed version of the Game and/or from the EVE web site http://www.eveonline.com); (ii) establish online a valid account (an "Account") and keep that Account active by paying the subscription fees on a timely basis; (iii) obtain and maintain your own Internet access (Internet access is required to play EVE; CCP is not responsible for your access to the Internet); and (iv) comply with the EULA.
you literaly aquired the licence when you payed the 19.99 initial billing fee or used a GTC or Plex to activate the account.
otherwise your basicaly trying to complain that people who play the free trial are not legaly playing the game because they did not buy a boxed game or order from the free store.
So bascialy your rant boils down to the fact that you were treated rudely by a game GM and or the player base. Simply file a complaint against that gm, (and for the record I learned a long time ago that the ISOs on the help channel frankly have no clue on a lot of the game, or somehow feel that actualy answering the questions posted are beneath them. granted given the often blatant stupidity of some of the questions on thoes channels I honestly cant blame them)
by the way your posting on the forum, if you wanted a question ansered about PI the best way to do so is probably over on the Science and industry forum.
